Sergio Ramos García (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈseɾxjo ˈramoz ɡaɾˈθi.a]; born 30 March 1986) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a defender for Real Madrid and the Spain national football team.
Mainly a right back, he can perform equally as a central defender and as a defensive midfielder. After emerging through Sevilla's youth system, he went on to be a defensive mainstay for both Real Madrid and the Spanish national team,
gaining his first cap at the age of 18. He is considered to be the best
Spanish right-back ever and has currently won 83 caps and scored 6
goals for the national team
